Nathaniel Plimer, brother of the miniaturist Andrew Plimer, worked for the painter Henry Bone and was trained later on by Cosway. He worked as a miniaturist in London and exhibited his paintings at the Royal Academy between 1787 and 1815 and at the Society of Artist in 1790 and 1791.
