Arlaud-Jurine pursued his artistic studies at Liotard in Geneva presumably up until 1767 and from then onwards at Vivien in Paris. After a trip to Italy from 1774 until 1775, he lived in Geneva from 1776 onwards and became a member of the Société des Arts. In 1778 he married Suzanne Jurine. Arlaud-Jurine taught at the public art school in Geneva in 1787. He exhibited miniatures in Geneva in 1789 and 1792, but in 1792 he moved to London where he participated in the exhibitions at the Royal Academy until 1800. He returned to his home town in 1802 and exhibited his own miniatures in the art exhibitions from then onwards, additionally, at the Paris Salon in 1808.
