Etienne Charles Le Guay

Le Guay was the son of the porcelain painter Etienne Henri and studied under Vien in Paris. Between 1795 and 1819 he exhibited his works - miniatures, porcelain paintings and paintings with mythological scenes - at different Salons in Paris. From 1778 to 1785 he worked as painter at Sèvres and became later on director of the porcelain manufacture Dihl & Guérhard. Between 1808 and 1840 he painted again at Sèvres. All his three wives were students of him.
